Learning Mentors

At Wimboldsley we have a Safeguarding co-ordinator, Ms Mahon.

Who is she?

 Ms Mahon worked at William Stockton as Learning Mentor for 12 years before retiring in 2018, she is currently working at both William Stockton and Wimboldsley assisting with safeguarding. She has experience of providing support to children and families who are experiencing difficulties and working with outside agencies to resolve these issues. 

 

 

Mrs Ackers 

Mrs Ackers has worked at William Stockton and been part of the family for over 10 years. She has extensive experience in working with children on a 1-2-1 basis,  delivering Parenting Programmes, Team Around the Family (TAF) and also providing advice, guidance and support. Mrs Ackers delivers our ELSA programme ( Emotional Literacy Support) 
 

What do we do?

We are here to help children and families with issues that wouldn't necessarily be seen as educational, but can have a significant impact on children and their learning and development.

  • Housing and Debt Management

  • Food Bank/ Vouchers

  • Physical and Mental Health

  • Team Around the Family

 

She can offer support directly, and signpost you towards other organisations that can be of benefit. 

It is also possible to accompany you to any meetings you may have, to be that extra pair of ears for you.
