I am at the classroom door every morning if you wish to hand anything in to me. If you send your child in with anything they can give it in during registration and it will be sent in the registration box to the Office.

Please check your child’s book bag each night for letters from school.

What to do if your child is ill?

Please contact school on 01606 832321 if your child is not going to be in school. If your child is going to be off for a more sustained period can you let us know. We aim to phone all parents of absent children if we have not heard from them.

Learning Journey’s

Parents are invited every Monday and Thursday morning from 8.30 to 8.55 to come into Acorn Class and look through their child’s learning journey and share in their achievements and progress.

This will begin on Monday 19th September.

Helping your Child

Reading continues to be a great importance and I will be hearing the children read as often as possible both in a group and individually. Please ensure their book bag is in school every day. Especially the day that they are doing group reading – they should be able to tell you this.

Please hear your child read as often as possible, daily if you can.

The children are given the opportunity and responsibility of changing their own books every morning. Encourage them to change their books regularly.

Parents and children are more than welcome to change their child’s reading book together in the mornings if they wish to do so.
